Temperature profiles of the Sauromatum appendix in the presence of ASA. Each set of the treatments in A, C, E, and G was performed with one pre D-day appendix. The gray line in B, D, F, and H shows the temperature in the environmental chamber for A, C, E, and G, respectively. The white line represents the temperature of the control (treated with buffer only) minus the temperature in the environmental chamber. Each line color represents one concentration of inducer and is a subtraction of the control from the treatment. A negative or positive temperature value of the control means that its temperature was either lower or higher than the temperature in the environmental chamber.
