Glucose uptake evaluation of different concentration of WSP extracts on C2C12 myotubes. C2C12 cells were differentiated to myotubes in DMEM-high glucose plus 2% horse serum, further insulin resistance was induced by TNF-α (20 ng/mL) for 24 h. The different concentration of WSP-EA fraction (12.5 µg/mL to 200 µg/mL) (A) and WSP-EW fraction (B) were used to quntified the uptake of glucose analog 2-NBDG by flow cytometry. TNF-α tumor necrosis factor alpha, WSP-EA white sweet potato ethyl-acetate fraction, WSP-EW white sweet potato water fraction. TZD thiazolidinedione. Values were presented as mean ± SD of 3 independent experiments performed in triplicate, and were analyzed using one-way ANOVA, followed by a post hoc Tukey’s test for multiple comparisons.
