Chronic ambient O3 exposure attenuated O3-induced foliar injury. Seedlings cultured in charcoal-filtered air (CF, left) and indoor ambient air (NF, right) for 3 weeks were exposed to 150 ppb O3 for 8 hours. A significant decrease in foliar injury was observed in NF seedlings compared to CF seedlings (p < 0.01, t-test).
