Maximum photosynthesis (P_m), dark respiration (R_d) in mmol O₂ h⁻¹ g chl a⁻¹ and light compensation point (I_c), light saturation irradiance (I_s) in µmol photons m⁻² s⁻¹ are presented. α in mmol O₂ h⁻¹ g chl a⁻¹ (µmol photons m⁻² s⁻¹)⁻¹ is the slope of the P/I curve at limiting irradiance. Sample size was n = 4 for the 40 min measurement of photosynthesis. Different letters indicate significant differences within photosynthetic parameters (Tukey HSD post hoc test, p < 0.05)
